Saint Thomas Youth Ministry has 4 foundational pillars upon which it is built:
Prayer - Prayer is the core of everything we do. Our primary goal is lead young people into a relationship with Christ. Prayer is the lifeblood of relationship with God. We live out this pillar by gathering and departing in prayer every week, intentionally praying for each other's petitions even when we are apart, and by spending at least an hour in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament together every month.
Fellowship - Jesus was always found eating and drinking with people. To better learn how to have a relationship with God, we begin by having meaningful relationships with one another. Our youth groups spend plenty of time growing in fellowship together through thoughtful conversation, food, fun and games.
Formation - In order to make relationships meaningful, there must be a deeper purpose why we gather. We take every opportunity to present our young people with meaningful and relevant topics of faith and take time to discuss these things with each other in small groups so that they may have practical tools to grow in their relationship with God.
Service - Catholics are called to serve both God and neighbor. Our youth group takes time to serve our community in various ways by taking part in monthly service projects most often serving the poor and lonely.
